Increase in theft of plant equipment

There has been an increase in reports of theft of plant machinery and equipment. Here are some tips to keep your property safe and secure. 

Always lock vehicles when you are away from them, even if it's only for a minute.

Where possible, lock machinery in a secure outbuilding/shed when not in use and remove keys and locking them in a safe or security cabinet.

Record all valuable tools and equipment with your insurance company.

Use a forensic marking liquid to mark your property.

Fit security alarms to expensive equipment.
